When I write, I am free! I slough off all the worries of my day and engross myself in the world of my characters. It’s my vacation from my worries – my “me” time when I am the creator and engrossed in something bigger than myself.
I love writing and my writing loves me. 🙂
I’m finished with Magic Hour: Young Hollywood Book 3 now. My editor has it and she’s suggesting annoying changes – things that are useful, but drive me bonkers nonetheless! I want to put the book out into the universe already. It’s a delicious book, and I’m really proud of it.
Every day that I write – every scene, every piece of dialogue – is an opportunity to work on my craft. I want to breathe life into my characters. They are real people, with emotions and whole worlds that exist outside the story I’ve built. I want to do justice to them. Above all else, I won’t let them down.
In other news, I’m writing A Time To Love (the working title of my time travel romance). I’m halfway through and want to throw it all in the garbage. I’m BORED with it. This signals that a complete re-write is in the works. Maybe it will never see the light of day?
I’ve also started another series- The Carraways. I’m working on Book 1 of that series in my spare moments when I’m not writing Below the Line: Young Hollywood Book 4.
So much to write, so little time. Back to it now… 🙂
